I graduated from La Sorbonne, with a Master’s degree in Literature and French as a Foreign Language. My first work was as a press agent for ARTE, the Franco-German cultural TV channel. I turned to teaching French in 2010. My teaching experience has encompassed a wide range of people in many different roles; from students to high-flying executives and diplomats.
I launched French à La Carte in 2012 with a personalized teaching approach. For every student to meet his or her linguistic goals, my key words are: a tailored, efficient, flexible, and supportive approach and an enthusiastic teaching atmosphere. I like to take my the students out of their comfort zone and to challenge their linguistic skills. After 8 years and more than 400 international students, French à La Carte deserves the success it enjoys today.
I initially started working as an editor for practical books, including cooking, decoration, and DIY. Later, I left Paris for 7 years of expatriation, first in Kinshasa and then in Bangkok.
I totally understand what it feels like to adapt to a language and culture different from your own, as I have been through it myself. With a degree from a business school, a specialized master's in publishing management, and a master's in French as a Foreign Language, I have been teaching for almost ten years to diverse audiences, including business schools, engineering schools, culinary schools, as well as to artists who have relocated to France. Of course, I also provide private lessons.
Regardless of your level, I aim to help you progress in an atmosphere that is both focused and warm. If you are curious about the French language and culture, I would be delighted to introduce and share them with you.
Bonjour !
Passionate about travels, foreign languages and people ever since I was a kid, I have decided to start teaching French as a foreign language when I moved to New York City six years ago, a nice way to combine what I enjoy the most in life !
Throughout those years of experience, I have had the opportunity to teach many students, from kids to adults and from professionals to university students, in various institutions (French institutes, worldwide known universities, private-owned schools, public schools, etc.) and in different settings (one-on-one, group classes, mini group classes, on-site and online, synchronous and asynchronous).
I believe learning a foreign language is a one-of-a-kind experience and a very interesting challenge. As an instructor, I aim at guiding my students through this experience and make the learning process invigorating, stimulating and, why not, life changing.
Education-wise, I hold a master’s degree in English and Italian from Sorbonne University and a master’s degree in business from Skema Business School.
I can’t wait to meet you !

Bonjour ! I graduated with a Master’s in French as Foreign Language and teach to various publics : individuals and professionnals. I also have a long experience abroad : I studied in Milan, I have been a journalist in Bangkok and a private tutor in Russia before returning to Paris where I now teach full time French as a foreign language. Also, if you are interested by the culture and Paris and wish to learn French immersed in the city, there will probably be a chance that I offer you a visit of an exhibition, a museum, a cultural walk in Paris.
Travelling is at the heart of my passion for languages. Travelling through music, books, food, and the arts, across the times and around the world. In addition to Canada, she has also been teaching in Phoenix, Arizona for several years. New York was also one of the cities in which she taught. Cédrelle has had multiple audiences, professionals, students or tourists, both in group and private lessons.

The Edito, Tendances and Défi manuals are his privileged tools, excellent for a communicative or active approach to teaching. Cédrelle adapts and remains attentive to each student, in group and in private. Whether you have some basics in French or an advanced level, you will be in the right place in her class!
