I graduated from La Sorbonne, with a Master’s degree in Literature and French as a Foreign Language. My first work was as a press agent for ARTE, the Franco-German cultural TV channel. I turned to teaching French in 2010. My teaching experience has encompassed a wide range of people in many different roles; from students to high-flying executives and diplomats.

I launched French à La Carte in 2012 with a personalized teaching approach. For every student to meet his or her linguistic goals, my key words are: a tailored, efficient, flexible, and supportive approach and an enthusiastic teaching atmosphere. I like to take my the students out of their comfort zone and to challenge their linguistic skills. After 8 years and more than 400 international students, French à La Carte deserves the success it enjoys today.

Margaux

"Languages, Literature and books have always been my passions. I speak fluently English and Spanish, and I am currently learning Italian, so I also know what it means to be on the other side!

After I first graduated from my English Literature Master’s degree, I spent a year as a French teacher at Bristol University. Then I graduated with a Master’s degree in teaching French as a Foreign Language and moved to London where I taught at the Alliance Française for three years.

Since books are also a passion, I experienced working in Publishing for two years, first in a Literary Agency in Paris and then at one of the oldest French Publishing houses: Calmann-Lévy.

Coming back to my original training in 2017, I teach French to adults through agencies and prepares them to exams like the DALF C1m or TCF.

I am also part of the prestigious teaching teas of Sciences Po University since June 2019 and Polytechnique School since September 2021.

I have a long experience teaching French to university students and professionals.

I graduated from La Sorbonne in Paris with several degrees in Education Science and Art History, and I have been working in many countries as a university professor and a French cultural attaché. I love helping students discover the French culture and language, and I am passionate about showing the great cultural aspect of Paris and France. I like to teach French and organize tours of the city I call home. I'm passionate about the arts and art history in general.

Having developed my own teaching method and language instruction materials, I am excited about creating a tailored, personalized program for each of my students, which pays close attention to each student’s particular needs, availability, and language level. I love meeting new students around the world, and I enjoy seeing them make progress in speaking, writing and living the French language. I look forward to meeting you, and to working with you to give you the best French experience possible.

Stéphanie

A passionate professional, I have been teaching my mother tongue for almost 20 years by vocation, all over the world from Latin America to Middle East. My vast experience includes teaching people from different backgrounds, including executives, diplomats, professionals of the European Commission in Brussels, among others.

My belief that 1:1 language courses give the best results encouraged me to do some research in this field. I have successfully completed a Master's degree in Teaching French as A Foreign Language with a speciality in individual training.

For me, every student is a new educational challenge. I adapt all the materials and course content to your needs and objectives. Your progress and your satisfaction are my top priority.

I hold a PHD in international relations which I teach in high school  as well as teaching French as a foreign language. I am passionate about international relations and education and very interested in teaching French to students coming from all over the world. During my lessons, I usually use learning material related to topics of international affairs and culture.

I have lived in many countries and worked in several universities in France and abroad ; for this reason, I am used to teaching different profiles in various contexts : to professionnals, expats and students.  I know that it can sometimes be challenging to master a foreign language and  this is the reason why I always personalise my lessons according to the specific objectives and linguistic goals of each student. My lessons are always interactive and I put a strong emphasis on communication (dialogues, conversation, argumentation) as well as an active listening.

I graduated from the Sorbonne University with a Master’s Degree in teaching French as a foreign language and since then, I have been teaching French to a wide range of students: chefs in renowned restaurants in Paris, diplomats for the Australian Embassy, bankers and also children, from complete (level A1) to advanced (level B2).

I have taught a lot with children using creative techniques around singing, puppetry, comics, drawing, (I have also been trained in this field)

I am passionate about language teaching and learning (in addition of being a French tutor, I currently study for a Master’s Degree specialised in gender studies)

I know that learning a new language can sometimes be difficult and challenging for expats; this is why I tailor my teaching approach to each student, taking into account their lerning pace, their linguistic goals and their learning ability. After I graduated from La Sorbonne with a Master’s degree in French linguistics, I taught for a year at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. In 2018, I began to teach French back in Paris as a private tutor for adults and mainly for English speakers.

As someone very interested in languages and foreign cultures, I understand the challenges in learning a new language. I focus on identifying straight off your language needs, from a “useful French” type of learning (beginner level) to more specific topics at advanced level. 

My approach is to create each class around what you need to learn, using study material that you will find engaging. 

Above all, I believe that your confidence and satisfaction is the key to improvement, so I will always be encouraging and patient.

After a year studying in the United-Kingdom, I graduated from Paris Diderot University with a Bachelor's degree in foreign languages and later a Master's degree in technical translation.  

As a native French language teacher since 2017, my interest in teaching and in languages have come a long way. I have been into tutoring and exchanging with language partners of various countries for about 10 years.    

Aside from French, I can speak English and a little Korean, Japanese and German. I am convinced that my knowledge in foreign languages is a major asset in helping students.  

I believe that I can use my language learning and teaching experience to teach you French effectively.

I graduated a few years ago with a Master’s in French as a Foreign Language and now teach French to various profiles : adults, teenagers and children. In 2017, I taught in Prague before returning to Paris.

In addition to my Master’s in French, I have also completed a second Master in cultural management. I believe that teaching a language is complementary to the culture.

I have always wanted to become a teacher; I enjoy sharing both the language and the culture. I always put an emphasis on communication and on real life situations.

I carefully adjust the learning material depending on my student’s needs and on their profiles: adults, teenagers and children, expats, professionals or visitors.

Bonjour ! I graduated with a Master’s in French as Foreign Language and teach to various publics : individuals and professionnals. I also have a long experience abroad : I studied in Milan, I have been a journalist in Bangkok and a private tutor in Russia before returning to Paris where I now teach full time French as a foreign language. In addition to my Master’s in French, I already have attended a cinema school. The little « plus » of my lessons, when I have the appropriate public is my cultural approach. With me you will not be surprised to see that I sometimes use movies extracts during my lessons. Also, if you are interested by the culture and Paris and wish to learn French immersed in the city, there will probably be a chance that I offer you a visit of an exhibition, a museum, a cultural walk in Paris.

After graduating from a business school, Agnès worked several years for different companies in numerous countries including Japan where she spent 9 years working as a cross cultural specialist and a French tutor for schools of languages. 

She also have a Master degree in Teaching French as a foreign language  For the last 15 years, she has been delivering trainings to all type of clients: from beginners ( A1) to advanced levels ( C1) in business schools, universities, Alliance Française and companies.

Living and working abroad in 5 different countries in 3 continents, she experienced several times to learn a new foreign language and will do her best to help you hit your targets: learning general French or French with specific purposes, practicing conversation, preparing an examination (DELF, DALF, TCF, etc)

Bonjour ! My name in Anita, I am a 31 year old girl born and raised in Paris. 

I taught in several countries and speak 4 languages fluently (French, English, Spanish and Italian). I am currently learning Arabic and modern Greek so I really know what it is like to learn a language that seems hard at first !

 I love teaching to children and I am used to very young learners to teenagers. 

I hold a Master degree from University Paris Descartes - Sorbonne in Teaching French As A Foreign Language and I am an DELF-DALF examiner/scorer. I also hold a Master degree in Sciences of Education so I know the pedagogical and psychological tools for teaching and learning to any type of learner (visual, aural, kinesthetic). 

I think learning should be entertaining and I have my own learning approach to ensure children learn in a fun way. I also value a student focused approach so I design every courses according to children's personalities and interests. 

I am a dedicated, creative and student focused French teacher and I love my job so much it gets viral :) excitement is contagious !

I graduated in engineering and started my career as an engineer before becoming a journalist a few years later.  At the same time I started to organise workshops in the science departments of  museums. I always had a strong interest in passing both  my scientific knowledge and the French language.

For five now, I have been teaching French as a foreign language to professionals – mainly engineers, people who work in the industry, doctors, pharmacists….In addition to the latest text books to learn French, I mainly use two tools  as learning resources : press and podcasts. Just as journalist do,  I will ask you one thousand questions to encourage you to speak and develop your linguistic skills !

Bonjour, I am Chloé.

I am based in Paris. I hold a Master's degree teaching French as a foreign language and a bachelor of French literature from Sorbonne university. After two years spent in London teaching French to children, teenagers, and adults in a language school, I am back in Paris.

I also prepare my students to DELF, DALF, DELF prim' or even GCSE examinations, I am an examiner for these exams.

I worked with children using a fun and creative approach that appeal to the little ones (even for children under 3!) For adult learners, I pay a particular attention to the areas of interest of each learner, and I personalize each lesson around the student’s linguistic goals and expectations. I am very interested by interculturality, and I like to incorporate learning resources around French culture in my lessons.

When I don’t teach, I love traveling: Spain, Italy, Croatia, Netherlands, Egypt, Thailand, Japan, the world is full of curiosity!

After I graduated in film studies from La Sorbonne, I left Paris for Australia where I started teaching French by pure coincidence.

I enjoyed it so much that soon after my stay in Australian, I moved to the US:  I received the Fulbright scholarship which gave me the opportunity to teach in a university for a year.

My teaching career was officially launched! Then, I worked with professionals in a language school in Spain.  Back in Paris, I teach to people from all over the world, from different backgrounds. I love teaching French in a creative manner using songs, games, pictures, comics,.... Every student is a new journey and I look forward to having you on board!

I am based in Paris. I hold a Master's degree teaching French as a foreign language and a Modern Foreign Language PGCE Secondary. After several years spent abroad teaching French language, French cinema and French culture at university in the USA and secondary schools in the UK, I came back to France.

I enjoy learning about different cultures and, even more, sharing my passion for the French language and the quirks of the French culture. The discovery and the learning process of a new language is truly for me a personal, cultural, and of course linguistic journey, which I try to make as lively and enriching as possible. Curious and a good listener, I do my best to make lessons exciting using varied and interactive learning resources with a focus on speaking skills. I am a born and raised Parisian. I studied in France and the US Linguistics and French as a foreign language. While studying in France and the US, I focused my research on child native acquisition and adult foreign language learning.

I have a wide experience in teaching at different levels and to varying profiles and have taught in several countries, including Japan, US and Bulgaria. I am keen on building learning paths that will meet the specific linguistic needs of each student. I will adjust my teaching approach to your learning abilities and will carefully select material that fit your level and preferences.

I usually use both textbooks and topical materials.

Together, we can prepare the DELF/DALF exams or just improve your skills in specific fields. I always put an emphasis on the skills you need to focus on.

I graduated in teaching French as a Foreign language from the Alliance Française and started working as a French tutor in high school and universities in Europe (Spain, England), America (United States, Mexico). From these experiences, I witnessed different teaching approaches that helped me shape mine. I am more specialized in teaching French to Anglo and Spanish speakers. My students have various profiles, including professionals, (among which, French learners from the World Bank). I always put a strong emphasis on trying to eradicate recurrent mistakes.

Passionate about the art of African oral tradition, languages ​​have always played an important part in my life. I pass this passion on through my teaching approach which mainly focuses on oral communication.

A bookworm and a nomad in my spare time, I am also a very experienced hiker and I particularly like discovering new countries through cuisine and architecture. The cultural experience is also extremely important for me and I hope to embark you on the French language journey as introduce you to the Parisian culture.

Passionate about French history, civilization, literature as well as international relations, I have had the opportunity to teach our beautiful language and share French culture in many countries with a very varied range of students including diplomats, professionals, visitors and students.

From Chile to Vietnam via Sweden and Spain, I taught French to different audiences from A1 to C1, with children, teenagers and adults, from various cultures. Holder of a master's degree in French as a foreign language, I also have a training in theater, which allowed me to conduct drama workshops in French and to use theatrical techniques in my classes.
